Our history
Westside Storage, managed by Beaver Bearing Company, is a part of Niewohner Entities based out of Albion, Nebraska. Below is a little history on the Niewohner family.
In 1954, Delbert and Marilee Niewohner started their farming and cattle operation near Albion, Nebraska. Along with their four sons, they have expanded their operation to include many things. They currently farm around 15,000 acres, growing mostly corn; they own and operate three feedlots, feeding about 75,000 head of cattle; and run several hog units, caring for about 18,000 swine. In 2012, they also started a cow calf operation, which has grown to approximately 650 cows.
The four brothers who continue to run the operation today include Jerry, who oversees all companies; Steve, who manages the Sidump’r and Feeding Systems entities; Mark who is the head salesman for Sidump’r and Batch Boxes; and Matt who takes care of the farming. Several of the grandchildren currently help and work for the operation as well. Each one contributes unique talents to the overall operation.
